Guitar Faculty

Since fall of 2022 Erin has been on Guitar Faculty at the Colburn Community School of Performing Arts, where she teaches private lessons and group classes for the Suzuki Guitar Program established by Connie Sheu

Los Angeles Teaching Artist

In April of 2022 Erin joined the team at Lead Guitar, a nonprofit organization that builds free guitar ensemble classes in partnership with neighborhood schools nationwide. She works as a Teaching Artist visiting schools within the Los Angeles Unified School District weekly to teach and help support the development of their guitar programs.

Director of Elemental Guitar

In January 2022 Erin joined Elemental Music in the role of Assistant Director of Elemental Guitar, teaching their weekly Intro Guitar classes and private lessons through the Sponsored Lessons Program. She is now Director of Elemental Guitar, running their more advanced ensemble and overseeing the guitar program in general. Elemental Music offers after-school music ensembles in Santa Monica for elementary and middle school students.

Baroque Guitarist

Delirium Musicum, is an emerging self-conducted chamber ensemble that brings together some of the most creative and refined musicians in Los Angeles. Led by violinist Etienne Gara, Delirium Musicum defines itself artistically by taking a new stand on the daring and varied repertoire it tackles.

Video Game Composition

What originally started as a diversion from quarantine developed into a passion project for Erin Young and writing partner Christian Cruz. Born out of a mutual fascination with immersive scores, Noob Neumes is a collaborative project focused on developing music for video games and other media with dynamic sound. With two distinct writing styles, Young and Cruz combine talents to create varied and refreshingly distinctive sound.

Operations and Program Director

Erin is greatful to have served as Operations and Program Director for Kithara Project, a nonprofit organization which strives to improve the lives and opportunities of children and youth through the classical guitar. Kithara Project currently serves students in comprehensive, year-round guitar education programs in Boston, Albuquerque, and Mexico City.

Head of Guitar

Erin had the pleasure of working at tonebase.co as Head of Guitar from 2019 through 2021. In addition to planning and producing content, Erin helped to grow the Content team and solidify its operations and management strategies. Through her work at tonebase Erin has worked with dozens of internationally acclaimed artists including the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet, Sergio Assad, Gaëlle Solal, Ana Vidović and numerous others.
